Chow time!

I love this picture - such a typical face right before Jack eats! I just now figured out how to make my pictures larger...duh! From here on out my pics won't be quite so tiny!

Bringing Up Boys

You may have seen some of these pictures from facebook, but we had so much fun at our playdate with friends from our life group - six of us have had kids between April 08 and April 09, all boys with blue eyes. The last little guy, Colby, arrived on April 1, 2009. We had a ball watching them play, crawl, walk, coo and laugh with each other...and of course there were a few tears shed! I am so grateful to be able to raise Jack with these sweet friends and their sons.

Aggie Muster

We had so much fun celebrating Aggie Muster with some of our Aggie friends from church. We enjoyed a picinic at the park with our kids.

Proverbs 3

These words came as such a great encouragement to me this evening after our possible renters fell through. We are praying that the Lord would bring good renters to rent our home while we are away. We know that the Lord is in control and that He has the right people already picked out. We pray that we be diligent in doing all that we need to do to find them! I especially cling to the words "trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.." How true that statement is!

From Proverbs 3 ~ My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you prosperity. Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones. Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine. My son, do not despise the LORD's discipline and do not resent his rebuke, because the LORD disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in. Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gains understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who embrace her; those who lay hold of her will be blessed. By wisdom the LORD laid the earth's foundations, by understanding he set the heavens in place; by his knowledge the deeps were divided, and the clouds let drop the dew. My son, preserve sound judgment and discernment, do not let them out of your sight; they will be life for you, an ornament to grace your neck. Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble; when you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet. Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, for the LORD will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being snared. Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is in your power to act. Do not say to your neighbor, "Come back later; I'll give it tomorrow"—when you now have it with you. Do not plot harm against your neighbor, who lives trustfully near you. Do not accuse a man for no reason— when he has done you no harm. Do not envy a violent man or choose any of his ways, for the LORD detests a perverse man but takes the upright into his confidence. The LORD's curse is on the house of the wicked, but he blesses the home of the righteous. He mocks proud mockers but gives grace to the humble. The wise inherit honor, but fools he holds up to shame.

Happy Easter!

Praise the Lord for He is good! He sent his son so that we may live. We are so grateful to know Him and walk in the truth every day. How great it is to be able to worship Him without fear or oppression. How great is it to share that belief witht he ones you love!

One of the neatest gifts to show that Spring is really here was given on Easter morning. We went to go to church and our 4 little Robin eggs had hatched. They are all snuggled up in our wreath on our front door. We were thankful they made it through a touch storm the night before!

Romania Update and the Texas Bluebonnets

Many of you have asked how our plans are coming towards our move to Romania. We are still going! We relaunched our fundraising part of our journey at the end of January and are still in full swing. We visited our life groups at church all of February and March and recently took a road trip to San Antonio to speak with several churches and friends there. We have mailed off many letters and are mailing off more this week. It has been so incredible to see how the Lord moves in mighty ways when you are faithful to His calling. We still have a bit to go as far as support, but we have been encouraged daily by those who have paused to pray for us, stangers who have sowed into the ministry, and the friends and family who speak encouragement into our lives daily. We love the children we are going to work with and can't wait to get there. Much will be missed stateside, we know, but we trust that He is good. We have a busy spring and summer ahead of us. We continue to pray that God will move us before the school year begins in 2009. Thank you for your loving prayers!
These pictures were taken on the way home from our trip to San Antonio last weekend. It was quite windy and Jack's first time in the bluebonnets!
