3 Little Pumpkins
Last week Elizabeth and I brought Momo a surprise ~ her McDonnell Great-grandbabies. Elizabeth found matching pumpkin t's...and we thought we'd try to get a few 'good' shots of the babies together...hilarious! Oh the joys of trying to get two babies to pose and actually smile - not our little ones!

Oh Boy!
A New Kid on the Block
Some dear sweet friends of our just gave birth to their little boy ~ Tristan Dean Forman ~ this afternoon. He was a healthy 6 lbs 9 oz and almost 19 inches long. We were thrilled as he was nearly a month early! After spending a month on bedrest - he is a miracle and answer to prayers. It is so special to see friends marvel at their little gift from the Lord. We are blessed to have this bundle in our lives and happy to think of all the fun times our boys will have together....playing, laughing, getting into trouble together...just to name a few I'm sure. Congrats Formans!!

Jack's Big Day
On Sunday Jack took part in our church's 'Baby Dedication/Parent Commissioning.' It's a special time where our church as a body prays for the parents as they bring their children up to know the Lord. We can all use more prayers, right!! They asked us to share a scripture or the significance of the baby's name - so we chose to tell about his wonderful name and how we pray he grows to be like his namesake. You can read more about Grandpa from an earlier entry;) Then afterwards we went to Grimaldi's in Allen - a fun pizza bistro with my parents 'Yaya & Granddaddy,' Nana, Aunt Amy, Aunt Mary & Uncle Bo, Jeff's parents 'Memaw & Pepaw,' Aunt Peg and Momo. It is really special to have my dearest friend Monica join us for the festivities...she is always there like a sister. It was a sweet time to be together and to share it with people who mean so much to us. On a funny note...Jack was much more interested on watching the pizza being made than eating himself...and yes, we did have to change his clothes...one of many outfits of the day.
The Pumpkin Patch - round 1!
On Saturday we took Jack to his first birthday party - his cousin Hannah turned 3. One of the fun activities of the party was to go to the pumkin patch and go on a hay ride. We decided to skip the hay ride and take some fun pictures...It was a hot and bright afternoon - so the boy who loves to smile thought it best to show off his serious face! Although I didn't get to put him in his cute 'fall' sweater, we got some funny memories as the 'Jack'-o-lantern! My favorite is the last one where he crashed on the hay! Perhaps we will venture out again on a cool morning and try for that precious 'punkin' smile.

What's in a Name
Jack was named after Jeff's dear "Grandpa" Edgar Hannich. He was such a role model to Jeff growing up and we loved him so much. He was a strong man, a man of character, grace, kindness, respected and most of all he loved the Lord, his beautiful wife, his children, grandchildren and country. We were thrilled to be able to carry his name through the next generation. Here are some smiles of Jack to brighten your day...
Jack Edgar McDonnell ~ July 30, 2008
Our little Jack is here!! He was born on July 30, 2008 at 2:31pm. He was 21.5 inches long and weighed 8lbs, 10.5 oz...he was perfect! My water broke at 7:30am and he was here with little drama - was an angel!! Since I am just now getting pictures updated...here are 3 entries of his first 10 weeks. These are just a FEW of the 100s of pictures of Jack with friends, family and of his many funny faces and adventures. We feel very blessed by this little boy's life already - and by the love that just keeps coming from our beloved friends and family. God is so gracious to give us such a gift!
