Some of our kids went to a Nursing Home in town to sing Christmas Carols and bring them chocolates and oranges, a Romanian tradition. All of our boys went and several of our girls. This is not the first year they have gone, but it is always a little shocking when they first enter. After getting over the shock, they loved it! Daniel K especially shined as he reached out to the little ladies and showered them with love.
Many of the other girls spent a morning at the baby hospital/orphanage in Ludus. We wanted to make sure that this season was not just about receiving, but bringing love to others...babies and the elderly. The girls loved their time holding the little ones and playing with the toddlers. We don't have any pictures as they were not allowed to take them. We will be continuing programs like this on a weekly basis this spring.
